Cornerstone is a place to belong and experience the presence and love of God. Cornerstone Wesleyan, formerly North Gower Standard Church, began in 1918 as part of the Standard Church of America. Recently, when the Standard Church joined the Wesleyan Church, we changed our name to Cornerstone Wesleyan. This name is based upon Ephesians 2:19-22 in which we are told that we are part of God's household and Jesus is Himself the chief cornerstone.

We are people on a journey together - people from different families, background and Christian beliefs - at various stages but all on a journey together. We are on a journey to discover our purpose in life and to help each other to make the difference in the world God intends for us to make. We are on a journey to discover healing for our wounds and brokenness; hope beyond our pain and loss; wholeness of heart, soul, body and mind; and freedom from those things that keeps us weighed down.

Cornerstone Community Carnival

September 7 @ 12:30 p.m.

Join us for worship at 10:00 a.m. then come for a free BBQ @ 12:30 p.m. The carnival runs from 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. Bring some change for sno-cones, cotton candy, and popcorn! Plus games are just 25 cents each with proceeds going to First Place Pregnancy Centre. We will have trampolines, giant slide, live band, dunk tank, tug o'war, hot-dog eating contest, 3 legged race, face painting, pie-eating contest, prizes and much more.

MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) 9:30 - 11:30 a.m.

Are you a mother of a preschooler? Come and join other moms for a little "me" time! There will be creative activities, discussion, refreshments, guest speakers, and time to connect with other moms. Starts September 9. Child care provided. For more information, please contact Marcia Peters
